With a tireless work ethic and a focus on creation rather than infamy, Aurelien Riviere may be one of the best-kept secrets of the European house and techno scene. His rise as DoubtingThomas has been a slow and steady one, with releases on key underground labels and prestigious residencies confirming what those in the know already understand; that this is an artist worth paying attention to.
While he has been producing since the 90s when he was exploring downtempo trip hop and ambient sounds, DoubtingThomas has been continuously immersing himself in a wide range of styles that all feed into the more dancefloor focused material he works on today. During his time spent in London throughout the 00’s he developed a live set which has become one of the key channels for his creative energy. Meanwhile he scored releases on labels such as Soul Jazz, Safari Electronique, Lessizmo:r and Adjunct Audio amongst others at the peak of minimal techno’s creativity. Besides this more personal work he composes music for Universal Publishing and Cezame Music Agency in a commercial capacity.
His sound has always drawn upon wider influences than cookie-cutter dancefloor music, reaching to jazz and musique concrete to find textures that challenge in between the rhythms, and so it is that his distinctive live set has become his calling card in recent times. With recent tours taking him to the likes of Arma in Moscow, Rex Club in Paris and across the US, audiences around the world have been awoken to the distinctive DoubtingThomas sound. It’s the same kind of unique spirit that he brings to his DJing, taking chances to present a crowd with an alternative to the straight and narrow rules of so much club music.
While the performances keep on rolling, Aurelien is also investing his considerable energy into a multitude of recording projects from his current base in Berlin, continuing a thread started with the downtempo collaborative project D.O.T.S he began in London and moving it away from a jazz leaning to more experimental pastures under the AKHOXET banner.
Alongside that venture he has a spread of releases planned, including more than one album in the works. As previously stated, the restless approach to his craft promises great things on the horizon for DoubtingThomas.
The Concise characteristics of Ryan Davis's music are within the dimensions of sound, taking the listener on a journey full of stories which describe feelings, dreams and desires. Ryan's music is not solely made to fill the dance-floors, furthermore with each note he is trying to reach hearts with his soulful sound aesthetics.
Since 2006 you can follow Ryan's traces on almost every important melodic techno label worldwide such as Traumschallplatten, Areal, Bedrock, Last Night on Earth, Anjuna Deep, Manual or Back Home. The quality of his music has brought him an international fan base and a reputation that is nothing short of remarkable.
His debut single led to notable attention from the music scene over night. From the very beginning artists such as Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Boys Noise and Ivan Smagghe showcased his sound. With Martin Gore of Depeche Mode including his music in the pre-program of the "Sound of The Universe" Tour and constant chartings by Dominik Eulberg, Stephan Bodzin, Sasha, Digweed or Cattaneo he slowly became a fundamental name in the modern melodic techno culture, in which compositional qualities are a must and what leads to the contact with Max Cooper with mutual declarations of love and remixes.
In addition Ryan has already founded two of his own labels (Back Home & Klangwelt), offering a platform to new artists to promote themselves releasing alongside well known names. One result has been a worldwide collective with different labels and artists who are in constant contact, pushing ideas and music forward.
Beside further remixes for famous artists like Sasha, Dominik Eulberg , Pig & Dan or Luis Junior, Ryan released his first solo album in2012 which turned into a great success and brought him lots of respect from big names all around the globe.
His remix for Olafur Arnalds, one of the rising stars on modern classic music heaven, is underlining his work and musical mindset to celebrate & spread the compositional techno and to start to establish a world on its own besides the dj-functionality.
To experience the full picture of Ryan's creation and immerse yourself in his ethos of promoting more depth in music than danceable beats in a club, it is highly recommended you find yourself at one of his forthcoming gigs.

Venter is a new project from two experienced musicians - Tomasz Bednarczyk and Tomasz Mreńca.
The first one released three albums for the labels Room40 and 12k. He is also responsible for establishing label We Are Your Music Mate, where together with Łukasz Kobster Łazarczyk they promote Polish club music. Tom also co-creates with Kobster Harrison Chord - a duo in which they're playing black topical house. Mreńca is a violinist who creates classical compositions, jazz, experimental and avant-garde music. He is a member and co-founder of an international group of The Frozen Vaults whose songs appear on compilations with artists such as Max Richter or Olafur Arnalds. As it would be not enough he also composes pieces for theater performances and fashion shows.
From Venter we get great variety in terms of both genres, because in their music there are elements of ambient, techno, house or drones, as well as atmosphere that takes the listener on an emotional roller coaster. There is also a fusion of analog and digital sounds, sampling, recording their own vocals, classical sound of the violin in the avant-garde compositions, repetition and noise. Thomas and Tom (about who is who let everyone decide for itself) in a new project manages to deftly combine the best elements and features of music created earlier.

The first attempt at mixing happened when he was 15. He had to realize that this artisanship was a far more complex, whole way of transmitting information allowing a much greater freedom than simply drawing a picture. Mixing was something different: he got to know a completely new way of improvisation only based on the moment, concentrating on the present, its future only predictable until the next disc.
In a physical sense it is intangible and unreachable but it is still a much more human and self-expressive way of presentation, which does not only fill you with energy but it also makes you move and guides you, even entertains you. He found himself a relatively broad spectre of opportunities in the new electronic dance music – that means he got „infested”.
Already released on: Lucidflow, Catch, Naked Lunch, Packed, Deepindub, Dewtone, Kaputt, Mussen Project, Miniatura, Mandms, Moira Audio, Perfect Session, What Now Becomes, Pozitron, Schall, Moshitaka and so on..
Got real supports from: Klartraum, Andrea Ferlin, Nadja Lind, Steve Stoll, Francesco Assenza, Steve Parker, Pole Folder, Alexi Delano and some others...
Nadsat is the owner of Catch Recordings, a DJ and music producer. His widespread understanding of techno and musical vision enables him to showcase his personal integration of music throughout both his music and record label.
Musical intelligence reign through Nadsat's sets, showcasing the rough industrial side of techno, married with the emotive, softer side to create emotion and anticipation. Whipping the crowd to a point of euphoria and then taking them back down to ground, making his way through genres and years to find the perfect track, to deliver the perfect moment.
This aesthetic approach to music can also be seen in his production. Engineering music into an almost set like form, each production showcasing a different quality, and taking the listener in a slightly different direction to be left in a place where the next track will take you away again. Always building and developing, sticking to one main ethos, of producing something different.
The energy he applies in both DJing and producing is showcased in a more physical format through his own imprint 'Catch Recordings'. Catch was created as an outlet to showcase his musical vision, to release forward thinking electronic music from artists that deliver across the board. The attention to detail is paramount in each stage, from sourcing new artists, to working tirelessly with the artists and designers to put together the perfect EP, creating a physical piece of art. This way, the music represents the label, the label represents the artists and the artwork encapsulates all of the above, so when you hold one of their records, you feel like you own something special.
